This workshop introduces participants to the rapidly advancing field of gravitational-wave astronomy, following the completion of the LIGO–Virgo–KAGRA fourth observing run and the public release of over 200 merger detections.
After enrolling, participants receive a hands-on crash course in gravitational-wave data analysis, covering how detectors record data, how to access real observations, and how to analyze signals using matched filtering and parameter estimation.
The course combines lectures, software tutorials, quizzes, and a data challenge, with a certificate awarded upon completion. Attendance options include in-person, study hubs, or fully online participation.
